AUT hosted the first-ever "Green Global Challenge" hackathon
Ajou University in Tashkent hosted the first-ever "Green Global Challenge" hackathon, fostering collaboration between Uzbek and South Korean students on environmental solutions.
The event included participation from Inha University, Ulsan University (South Korea), and representatives from Ajou and Inha universities in Tashkent. Professors from both countries mentored students, aiming to raise climate change awareness and encourage problem-solving skills. By working in international teams, students gained a deeper understanding of global environmental challenges and collaboration.
The hackathon concluded with a certificate ceremony, celebrating student achievements. This five-year program is expected to become a lasting collaboration between Korea and Uzbekistan, promoting cultural exchange and international cooperation on sustainability.
Students from both countries also participated in visits to relevant sites in Uzbekistan, further strengthening their commitment to addressing climate issues.
