The project Unbuild Together: Archaism vs. Modernity was created for the National Pavilion of Uzbekistan at the Venice Architecture Biennale through the joint efforts of Studio KO and students from the Faculty of Architecture at Ajou University in Tashkent.
Yesterday, the students visited the pavilion with Studio KO co-founder Olivier Marty, and talked about how their initial ideas and findings materialized in the form of a brick labyrinth at the heart of the exhibition, connecting Uzbekistan's cultural heritage with Venice.
As part of the visit, the students will spend a week exploring the key themes of the exhibition - archaism and modernity - in the context of Venice's urban space.
