Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries, South Korea has been our reliable friend and partner that has stood the test of time. It is noteworthy that in April 2019, relations between our countries were raised to a completely new level – Special Strategic Partnership. In December 2021, a joint statement on deepening special strategic partnership relations between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea was adopted.

 On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, a number of cultural events are being held in both Tashkent and Seoul AUT is taking part in events that are happening concurrently with these ones.

On February 7-11, "Uzbekistan Week" was held at Ajou University in Korea. The pedagogical and methodical experience was exchanged with Korean professors.

On June 8–13, a delegation led by Mr. Keechoo Choi, President of Ajou University of the Republic of Korea, visited Uzbekistan. Meetings with many ministries and interested organizations took place during the visit, and future tasks and the expansion of AUT were discussed.

On October 21, a meeting was held between the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in Uzbekistan Mr. Kim Hee-sang, the head of the Education Center of the Republic of Korea Pang Chu Man, and a group of specialists educated in prestigious Korean universities, and our students. At the event, our students got detailed information about the possibility of participating in grant projects for education in the Republic of Korea. During the meeting, a quiz on "Do you know Korea" was organized.

At the end of the event, the ambassador got acquainted with the facilities created at our university.
