Deligation of Ajou University in Tashkent visited Almalyk Mining & Metallurgical Complex

The plant's production capacity is based on copper, porphyry, lead-spirit and gold-silver deposits in Tashkent, Jizzakh, Namangan and Surkhandarya regions. The six mining companies, five concentrators, two metallurgical plants and more than 20 organizations, which are part of the plant, have always been in high demand for knowledgeable, mature and talented specialists.
A group of employees and professors headed by Vice-Rector B.Kuchkarov visited the plant as part of the implementation of the Memorandum of Cooperation with our University to form a reserve of staff and meet the needs of highly educated specialists.
At the meeting with the Deputy Chairman of the Department for Prospective Development and Investments K.Salimov, the issues of conducting internships for university students in the relevant departments of the plant and employment of graduates, training of employees of the enterprise were discussed.
Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering Mr. Jo Jungyol, Professors Oh Seok Kim and Park Chang Hwan gave a presentation on the areas of education to the heads of departments of the plant.
In turn, the head of the Production Automation Department V.Irismetov, the head of the Project Development Department A.Uraimov informed about their activities. It was noted that the demand for knowledgeable, potential specialists in the existing departments has always been high, including the fact that today there are vacancies for design engineers in 22 construction industries.
At the end of the event, members of the delegation got acquainted with the activities of the largest Kalmykia deposit in the country. Korean professors were impressed by the work process of the Central Repair and Mechanical Plant. At the end of the visit, they visited the museum and got acquainted with the history of the plant.
