The opening ceremony of the University of Ajou in Tashkent

     As President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Miromonovich Mirziyoyev said: "We will mobilize the power opportunities of our state and society in order to make our youth become independent-minded, have high spiritual potential, outgrow their peers in any sphere of the world, and of course be blissfully happy" – and all these efforts are seen in the example of our University.

     The opening ceremony of the University of Ajou in Tashkenty was held on February 1, 2021.

     The event was attended by the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education, ministries of organizations, university staff, representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, Korean entrepreneurs, students, and their parents.

     Guests of the event enjoyed the musical part of the solemn ceremony dedicated to the official opening of our University. The music program was performed by the Military Orchestra under the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the folk group of the Korean National Center for Culture, the pop and circus group called Miracle, and the Korean dance group Marabon. 

     Songs were also performed by singers Alim Holikov and Dilafrus Turaeva.

     The official part of the event began with the anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

     Deputy Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sarvarkhon Munavarkhanovich Buzrukhonov spoke about the development of mutually beneficial cooperation between Uzbekistan and South Korea in political, trade, economic, investment, tourism, cultural and other spheres and mentioned a few words of not only strong but also friendly relations between the two countries. Noting that we can see our Ajou University in Tashkent, he wished success in the future activities of our University.

      The First Vice-rector of our university, Mr. Jay Ick Lim, congratulated the students on the beginning of the educational process and expressed his sincere wishes.

      In connection with the opening of Ajou University in Tashkent, the anthem of our University was played and the flag was raised among our sky.

     In accordance with tradition, a traditional ceremony of ribbon-cutting was held, and the symbolic key of our University was awarded to Rector Muratov Gayrat Azatovich.

     In connection with the Opening Day, guests were able to get acquainted with the wide opportunities created at our educational university with sufficient conditions for scientific and innovative activities.
