Workshop with UPGRADE

The workshop organized by UPGRADE project, aims to identify and support talented students majoring in architecture and to encourage projects aimed at creating a modern and comfortable urban environment.

First, the project manager of UPGRADE project Sh.Jahongirov and his team of architects T.Fayzullaev, I.Khaydarov presented the project of buildings and structures built in several new styles. Students were informed about the history of the projects of INNO - Innovation Center, Presidential Schools and Invento private school in Almazar district, the idea of ​​construction, the originality of the architecture.

In the second part of the workshop, six teams of five people each, selected from the second year students of the Faculty of Architecture were given a competition assignment. The teams were tasked to develop a project for the first stages of construction of  the International School of Literature named after A. Navoi, which will be built in the National Park.

On the second day of the event, each team presented their project. Participants mentioned key points of the issue as the selection of the architectural appearance of the building, its adaptation to the region, the preservation of the green area, road transport communications were their priority.

UPGRADE project manager Sh.Jahongirov and specialists T.Fayzullaev, I.Khaydarov, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture of the University Mr. Kyung Rai Kim, Professor Oh Seok Kyu reviewed and evaluated the projects of the teams.

According to the final results, Group A-102 took the 1st place, Group A-105 took the 2nd place and Group A-101 3rd place. The winners of the competition were awarded diplomas and souvenirs. The project of the team of first-year students who took part in the competition was also highly evaluated and awarded a special prize. It was announced that the first place group A-102 will take part in the competition among higher education institutions.

In cooperation with the UPGRADE project, it was agreed to hold such master classes and competitions at the university periodically.
